Just think – this weekend you could be doing all the usual chores you have to do every other weekend. Or you could treat yourself to one of many cheap weekend breaks available in the Cotswolds.
We all get stuck in our own routines of doing things and not giving ourselves enough time out to do what we would really love to do. A cheap break in the Cotswolds has the advantage of taking us away from everyday life while recharging our batteries at the same time.
And just look at how many different reasons there are for going to the Cotswolds, even if it is only for a couple of days:
1. It isn’t too far away, no matter where you live. The wonderful positioning of the Cotswolds puts it very easily within reach of so many people. This is perfect for a weekend break because you obviously don’t want to be travelling too far to get to where you want to be. You want to be enjoying the maximum amount of time at your chosen destination.
2. It is right out in the countryside. It might not take long to reach the Cotswolds from many parts of the country, but that doesn’t mean you are still in the city. In fact, towns and villages such as Chipping Norton and Bourton on the Water have been referred to as some of the loveliest and most stunning looking villages in the whole of the country. So where better could you spend a UK weekend break than in the Cotswolds?
3. There are plenty of places to stay in to suit all tastes. Fancy one of the many weekend hotels that are in the area? Perhaps you would prefer staying in a classic English country cottage instead, to get that authentic Cotswolds feel? Whatever you opt for, it will feel a million miles away from home.
4. There are lots of things to do. You might want to visit places like the Cotswold Farm Park if you have children. Alternatively if it is an adults’ only weekend then somewhere like Hidcote Manor Gardens might fit the bill instead. Whatever you fancy there is plenty to amuse and delight you on a short Cotswolds holiday of two or three days.
5. The scenery is fantastic! You cannot beat the Cotswolds scenery for giving you lots of reasons to get out your camera. Every village and town is worth visiting purely for taking photos and creating lots of mementoes of your weekend away. And what better way could there be to unwind and leave your everyday life behind for a couple of days than to look out on some different and calming scenery when you wake up in the morning?
So you see there is a lot to be appreciative of when you visit the Cotswolds for a UK weekend break. If that hasn’t got you looking at the calendar to see when your next free weekend is, why not start looking right now?
